Lesson 1 – Understanding lung cancer

Cancer spreads through a process called metastasis, where cancer cells break away from the primary tumor and travel through the blood or lymphatic system to form new tumors in other organs. Lung cancer most commonly spreads to the brain, bones, liver, and adrenal glands.
